Tom Swinson has lived and worked in Europe, the Middle East Latin America, and Asia as a reporter and for various agencies and departments of the USG. He has been a reporter, associate editor of a magazine and foreign and book editor of a five-edition daily newspaper. He was for a number of years, the deputy director of the Foreign Press Center in Washington, D.C., and was the originator of the Los Angeles Foreign Press Center, the site of the Golden Globe awards.
